The Roman luxury Maison FENDI is delighted to announce that Ren Meguro, singer member of idol group Snow Man and a frontline actor, has officially been named the first Japan Men’s Brand Ambassador. Appointing the Japan Men’s Brand Ambassador is a first-time in the Maison’s nearly 100-year-old history, since its founding in 1925.
FENDI will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year, but it has always pursued modern creativity and excellence, constantly innovating while adamantly preserving the brand’s tradition and one-and-only craftsmanship. Ren Meguro debuted as a member of idol band Snow Man in 2020. Ever since, he has been active in this energetic group, and has also appeared in a number of renowned TV dramas, movies and commercials. In the TV drama “Silent” aired in 2022, he caused some social phenomena. One such development was many young people rushing over to the drama’s filming locations, in the so-called “holy place pilgrimage” movement. The phenomenon proves his great influence.
Furthermore, in 2023, Ren’s performance in the movie “Tsuki no Michi-Kake” was highly praised, and he won the “Outstanding Supporting Actor Award” and “New Actor Award” of the 46th Japan Academy Awards. These feats show Ren’s superb acting skills, which gained huge support from a wide range of generations.
