With a series of film awards ceremonies underway, Times Square, known for its emphasis on cultural promotion, collaborates with Society of FILM Editors HONG KONG to present the “Magic Behind the Screen” exhibition from 28 Mar – 12 May 2024, taking everyone on a journey to explore the magical power of film editing. The Open Piazza will be transformed into an interactive and engaging exhibition area, showcasing the different editing techniques used to create various effects in films, allowing everyone to gain a deeper understanding of how editors work their magic behind the scenes and paying tribute to their hard work. Visitors can also experience different editing steps firsthand through interactive zones and try creating captivating works. On 2/F Atrium, the exhibition area will display the dreams of each editor – the coveted Hong Kong Film Awards trophies and precious award-winning clips, as well as interviews with emerging talents in the film industry, embodying the heritage of Hong Kong Movie.
“A Moment in Causeway Bay” IG Reels Competition
Now it’s your turn to shine! Ignite your editing magic and win special prizes! From 11 – 30 Apr 2024, create a 30-60 seconds IG Reels based on the theme “A Moment in Causeway Bay.” Tag @hktimessquare and hashtag #TSMagicBehindTheScreen, upload it to your personal Instagram account, and complete the online registration form. Esteemed guest judges, Mr. Wong Hoi and Mr. Louis Koo, will select outstanding works. The winner stands a chance to win up to HK$6,000 Times Square Gift Card and other special prizes.

“A Moment in Causeway Bay” IG Reels Competition Terms and Conditions:
1. Participants should fill in the personal information on the application form, and submit the completed form together with the entries on the designated website.
2. The subject of all entries must be relevant to the contest’s theme.
3. Participants shall obtain lawful authority from persons appearing in the entries for uploading to the contest website, relevant websites and social media platforms or use on other occasions for display, promotion or relevant non-profit-making purposes.
4. Participants can use digital cameras or smartphones to shoot short films for the contest. The duration of the reels should be within 30-60 seconds, and the resolution should be no less than 1080p.
5. All entries must be the participants’ original works which have not been published, sold or submitted to other contests. They must also not contain any advertising content for any product or company, nor infringe the rights of any third party, including rights of intellectual property, confidentiality and privacy. Failure to comply will result in instant disqualification from entering the contest and being awarded.
6. All entries must not contain any obscene, violent, pornographic, defamatory, indecent, insulting, controversial and inappropriate content.
7. Upon submission of entries, the copyright shall be vested in the organiser. Participants agree and accept that the organiser may publish and publicly display the entries in any format, and produce them in any form, such as being publicly displayed or published in public exhibitions and websites, social networking websites, or publications of organising / government bodies.
8. Upon submission of application forms, participants shall be deemed to have accepted all the terms and conditions of this contest.
9. The participants’ personal data collected will be used only for relevant purposes such as handling contest matters and contacting the winners.
10. The personal data provided by participants will be destroyed within 6 months upon conclusion of this contest, excluding the winners’ names which will be announced or used for exhibition(s), according to the terms and conditions of the contest.
11. Times Square Limited reserves the right to alter, extend or terminate the event and amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In case of any dispute, the decision of Times Square Limited shall be final.
