“A Summer on the Italian Coast,” a Sun-Drenched and Kindred Capsule
When Judith Milgrom, founder of Maje, meets Spanish creative Blanca Miró, the idea of a co-created collection becomes an obvious choice.
From their very first exchanges, an instant connection emerges, rooted in a shared vision of femininity and style. Blanca Miró is instinctively drawn to Maje’s freshness and free-spirited energy. Judith, in turn, introduces her to a sincere, joyful and spontaneous creative playground.
Very quickly, color asserts itself as their common thread—like the contents of a summer suitcase set down on the Italian coast.
Red, blue and green evoke Mediterranean light and the carefree spirit of the sixties, while the clean silhouettes draw inspiration from the Italian minimalism of the 1990s.
A sun-filled, kindred capsule: subtly retro and deeply feminine.
«Blanca embraced Maje’s fresh, playful energy and together we celebrated colour, 60s Italian light, minimal silhouettes and graphic, slightly nostalgic motifs to shape an elegant, effortless, audacious and modern femininity.» — Judith Milgrom
««Vacanze sulla Costa Italiana» is a celebration of summer, colour and movement. I wanted every piece to feel playful and easy, but also have a reason to exist , designed for a moment, yet versatile enough to be worn in many ways. When we designed the collection with Judith, my intention was that once it was revealed, people would feel like playing with the pieces and really enjoying them, just as much as I enjoy getting dressed myself.» — Blanca Miró Scrimieri
