As Louis Vuitton celebrates 130 years of its legendary Monogram, three exclusive capsule collections bring this enduring emblem into a bold new chapter. The Monogram Origine, VVN, and Time Trunk Collections embody the dialogue between heritage and invention – reinterpreting classic savoir-faire through contemporary artistry. Each collection honours a different facet of the House’s legacy: the poetry of canvas, the purity of natural leather, and the visionary savoir-faire of the trunk-maker’s art. Together, they express the living essence of Louis Vuitton – where innovation, beauty, and timeless design continue to travel hand in hand.
MONOGRAM ORIGINE – A HERITAGE REIMAGINED
Leather goods
A tribute to Louis Vuitton’s roots, the Monogram Origine collection revisits the spirit of early travel with a distinctly vintage soul. Conceived as a brand-new coated canvas with timeless endurance and a softer, more natural touch, it reimagines the iconic Monogram through colour, savoir-faire, and innovation. Inspired by the cover of an archival 1908 clients number register –which recorded which key number belonged to which client– this new interpretation revives the art of personal authorship that defined the House’s origins. Designed from a linen-and-cotton blend for a natural, textured feel, the Monogram Origine reveals its vintage-style pattern with one historic colour, Ebène, enriched by four delicate pastel hues, each named as a tribute to the essence of Louis Vuitton – Lin (cream), Vert Asnières (green), Rose ruban (pink), Bleu Courrier (blue) – to create a subtle rainbow effect. Its surface bears a resin-like satiny finish, combining the warmth of heritage with modern lightness and strength.
Each bag includes an exclusive nametag that doubles as a cardholder, adding both style and function. The hot-stamped artwork on this charm features Louis Vuitton’s own handwritten signature, taken from the registered patent for the Flat trunk (Travel and Packing trunk) of 1867 – a direct link to the earliest innovations of the House.
The collection comprises a selection of iconic bags – the Speedy, Noé, Alma, and Neverfull – alongside a Family Trunk with refined metallic hardware including the Alma BB Trunk, Speedy 20 Trunk, Noé Trunk and Side Trunk MM each presented in this fresh interpretation of the Monogram in Ebène shade.

Additionally, the Monogram has been reimagined with the same vibrant, colorful design twist, while staying true to its heritage on the perfumes: Imagination adorns the Lin shade, Attrape-rêves wears the Rose Ruban variation, and eLVes embodies the Bleu Courrier. Complementing the collection, two travel cases make their debut in Rose Ruban and Bleu Courrier, marrying practicality with signature elegance. More than a revival, the Monogram Origine collection celebrates the rich dialogue between past, present and future– where colour, savoir-faire, and memory converge in a new chapter of the Monogram’s legend.
VVN
The Art of Natural Leather
The VVN collection – short for Vache Végétale Naturelle – pays homage to one of Louis Vuitton’s most emblematic materials and enduring signatures. Since 1880, the use of natural leather has been an expertise upheld by the House. This pale, vegetable-tanned cowhide – renowned for its purity and the subtle glow its patina acquires over time – embodies Louis Vuitton’s heritage of integrity, authenticity, and savoir-faire. Using natural, unprocessed leather, each piece reflects the savoir-faire of Louis Vuitton’s artisans. The hides are carefully handled and meticulously cut to preserve their pristine condition and reveal their natural character. Soft to the touch yet remarkably strong, the leather that is also remarkable on the Monogram icons, offers a luxurious, sensorial feel – a material that tells a story through the years, evolving with its owner.
Now, VVN steps into the spotlight. The collection revisits the House’s iconic shapes in soft, elevated versions designed to endure for generations. Each bag bears the marks of Louis Vuitton’s artisanal precision while celebrating its iconic Monogram pattern: a detachable Monogram name tag, a monogrammed jacquard inner lining. True leather connoisseurs and LV collectors will recognize in VVN both rarity and refinement – unique masterpieces that strengthen the House’s statement of identity and reaffirm its unparalleled expertise in leather savoir-faire. Over time, each bag becomes personal, its surface deepening in colour and character, a living emblem of noble simplicity and savoir-faire.
TIME TRUNK
A Dialogue Across Time
The Time Trunk collection transforms Louis Vuitton’s heritage of hard-sided trunks into a vision of artistry and innovation. First unveiled during Nicolas Ghesquière’s Autumn/Winter 2018 Women’s show and reimagined for Autumn/Winter 2024 to celebrate his ten-year anniversary as Artistic Director of Women’s Collections, it stands as a tribute to the House’s enduring dialogue between tradition and modernity.
Each of the collection’s bags – the Speedy 30 Soft, Noé, and Alma GM – features an ultra-realistic trompe-l’œil print that captures the look and feel of Louis Vuitton’s archival trunks with breathtaking precision. To achieve this effect, historic trunks were photographed from every angle, and their textures reproduced on canvas through high-definition printing. The result is a canvas that combines a glossy finish, aged patina, and structured details evoking metal corners, rivets, and leather marquetry – a masterwork of savoir-faire translated into illusion. Every model carries an exclusive leather luggage tag, inscribed with its name and creation date, while the initial of the bag (A for Alma, N for Noé, S for Speedy) appears discreetly within the print. Designed to make a bold visual statement, each piece balances the tactile realism of trunkmaking with the finesse of contemporary savoir-faire. Ultimately, Time Trunk draws centuries of innovation into a single gesture. At once futuristic and nostalgic, the collection transforms Louis Vuitton’s history of travel into an illusion of time itself, where past and present converge in savoir-faire, creativity, and imagination. As Louis Vuitton embarks on this landmark year, the House invites the world to rediscover the Monogram not simply as a design, but as a legend – a living emblem, a universal code of elegance and distinction whose legacy continues to grow.
