First presented on the FENDI Men’s Fall/Winter 2023-24 runway, the new FENDI Chiodo backpack perfectly embodies the sophisticated comfort and opulence of the everyday that are explored in the collection.
Innovation and functionality, key elements of the FENDI Men’s collections, become design codes in the FENDI Chiodo backpack that features ergonomic straps that turn around a metallic hinge, creating a futuristic design statement. Standing out with its newly developed central Chiodo pivot, meaning ‘nail’ in Italian, the straps can slide from a double backpack use to a practical single handle carrying. As an homage to FENDI artisans, the Chiodo hints at the significance of handmade and savoir-faire as it is among the tools used in the creation of exquisite leather goods.
The new shape is highly structured and features a spacious volume with zip closure, perfect to store all the must-have items of the urban working man. An additional touch is given by the frontal flat pocket to protect and keep at hand all daily essentials, and a functional padded back pocket to store the computer.
The different leather finishings and palette combinations represent FENDI’s artisanal mastery. A dark blue shade enhances the delicately grained touch of the iconic Cuoio Roma leather, FENDI’s signature with a timeless appeal. The FENDI Diagonal world, signature of the FENDI Men’s Accessories, contaminates the other two versions of the Chiodo backpack through a slanting leather cut on the pocket that is aligned with the all-over FF pattern. The new FENDI Shadow leather workmanship, characterized by a subtle three-dimensional FF pattern, is coloured in ageless black to further bring out the texture. Finally, the classic tobacco-toned FF pattern is combined with sand and black leather details for the ultimate FENDI statement.
With its urban allure and an attentive eye to functionality that characterizes this new modern shape, the new FENDI Chiodo backpack is set to become an essential for men in search of comfort and coolness.
