Calvin Klein announced the launch of Calvin Klein Jeans Reimagined Denim, an upcycled limited-edition capsule collection available exclusively in Hong Kong.
Designed in partnership with Fashion Clinic Collective Hong Kong, an organization specializing in redesigning and upcycling deadstock garments, the collection is made from excess denim and reworked using patchwork, reinforced rips, washing and distressing techniques. Handcrafted in Hong Kong utilizing 2,000 pairs of unworn jeans, no two pieces are the same. Labels, buttons and zippers were also kept intact to further reduce waste. The offering includes a denim jacket, jeans, hat, skirt, bralette, and special tiger teddy celebrating the Year of the Tiger.
To celebrate the launch, Calvin Klein Jeans is transforming its Times Square store into a Calvin Klein Jeans Reimagined Denim pop-up today through July 13th. Upcycled denim and rescued textiles are used throughout the space and a giant denim tiger teddy made from upcycled materials is also on display. Additional programming will also be offered during the duration of the pop-up, including an upcycling workshop. Don’t miss out!
