In February, LOEWE celebrates the release of its full range of Ballet Runner 2.0 sneakers — a reinvention of the Ballet Runner first introduced in 2019, as a hybrid running shoe and ballet flat.
The Ballet Runner 2.0 has the house’s distinctive asymmetric toe combined with the look of a 1970s running shoe. It launches alongside the new Flow Runner. Other refreshed details include a revamped ‘L’ monogram on the quarter and embossed anagram on the tongue, and an upgraded, wavy-textured rubber outsole that extends to the toe-cap. Flexibility and comfort are enhanced by the shoe’s sophisticated Sacchetto construction, in which the lining is stitched to the insole to create an internal, sock-like structure. The lightweight Ballet Runner 2.0 has a soft leather lining and fussbett, and a refined injected rubber logo into the calfskin heel tab: contrasted or tonal based on the colour variation. Two sets of laces are provided.
A curated selection of colours were launched in December in the nylon and calf version, including black/white, white/black, brown/yellow/blue, lilac/white/grey. Additional colours will follow, including a full soft leather version in black, white, and cinnamon.
