New Gucci Campaign Starring Pietro Castellitto
New Gucci Campaign Starring Pietro Castellitto

Gucci continues its timeless journey with the Horsebit 1953 loafer, an emblem of the House’s heritage, through a new campaign conceived by Creative Director Sabato De Sarno. At the heart of this latest chapter is Italian actor screenwriter, and director Pietro Castellitto, who follows in the footsteps of Paul Mescal, Global Brand Ambassador Xiao Zhan, and Kingsley Ben-Adir, all of whom starred in previous campaigns celebrating the signature House style. Every talent has brought a personal interpretation to the Horsebit 1953 loafer, reflecting Gucci’s evolving vision of modern masculinity, one that embraces personality, originality, and contemporary elegance.

Set in a creative space surrounded by books, music, and art, the campaign captures a relaxed representation of Pietro Castellitto. Through a series of portraits, he seamlessly transitions between a range of looks, from casual to refined, each grounded by the enduring presence of the Gucci Horsebit 1953 loafer. With its emblematic hardware, the loafer is a constant throughout these transformations, underscoring its essential role in Creative Director Sabato De Sarno’s menswear wardrobe.

The Horsebit 1953 loafer, a signature piece since its debut, continues to transcend time and trends. First introduced in its eponymous year when the House launched footwear, it offered a new idea of elegance: equal parts sporty, casual, and sensual. Its double ring and bar, inspired by the equestrian world, has remained a defining motif in Gucci’s collections for over seven decades, evoking the life and style that surrounded equestrianism, a popular pastime among its clientele of the time.

With each iteration of the campaign, the Gucci Horsebit 1953 loafer reaffirms its status as an enduring symbol of the House’s commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless style.
