A-1 Bakery is collaborating with the premium Uji tea brand – Gion Tsujiri for the first time to launch a limited-edition Matcha Donut collection: “Gion Tsujiri Matcha Choco Mochi Donut” and “Gion Tsujiri Matcha Cronut”. This collaboration series was developed and supervised by A-1 Bakery’s Japanese Chef managed team and the Gion Tsujiri team and using Gion Tsujiri Matcha as the main ingredient. The collection perfectly blended the essence of Japanese Matcha and Gion culture with the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship and meticulous techniques.
As a long-established tea brand, Gion Tsujiri was founded in 1860 and has a history over hundred years serving premium tea from tea cultivation to tea making. Matcha is ground slowly and carefully using a stone mill, which gives it a beautiful deep green glow and a fragrant aroma brings the perfect flavor and umami of the tea.

This donut is coated with Gion Tsujiri’s Uji matcha chocolate spreads, and sprinkled with matcha powder, creating a beautiful finish.
